On Behalf Of The Gorkha Community Living In Darjeeling And Rest Of India, I Extend My Heartfelt Condolences On The Demise Of One Of The Most Hardworking And Inspirational Public Representative Shri. Manohar Parrikar Ji.
Parrikar Ji Was A Friend To The Gorkha Community, Always Affable And Approachable, He Supported The Gorkha People In Our Struggles. During His Stint As The Defense Minister, H Had Visited Darjeeling And Fell In Love With Our Place.
As A Defense Minister He Had Sanctioned A Sainik School In Darjeeling Back In 2015. That School Is Yet To Be Constructed, As No Land Has Been Allocated For The Same By The WB Government. We Hope, That The Govt Of WB Will Expedite The Process, So That The Dream Of Our Former Defense Minister Parrikar Ji, To See A Sainik School In Darjeeling Hills Is Fulfilled.
In His Death We Have Lost A True Friend Of The Gorkha Community.
